Now that Absentee Voting has Started at City Hall, What are the Rules About Campaign Signs?
Absentee in Person Voting for the State of Alaska General Election is Open at City Hall!
Please remember that campaigning is prohibited within 200 feet of an entrance to a Polling Place. That includes entrances to City Hall during Absentee Voting. (Alaska Statutes 15.15.170)
Campaigning includes, but is not limited to, posting signage, parking and leaving a vehicle with signs and stickers in a parking lot of a polling place, wearing stickers, buttons, logos, etc., in a polling place or intentionally driving back and forth in front of any polling place with large signs on a vehicle.
Please contact the City Clerk's office or the State Division of Elections if you have questions about campaigning.
Thank you and please remember to Vote!
